CRE Lecture Hall Renovation Project Discussions 2/24/23 and 3/2/23 (Sent 02/14/2023)

 Dear Faculty, Staff, and Researchers:

You are invited to join a discussion about our plans to update the technology in the CRE Lecture Hall (9-354). 

Christopher Way, Director of MIT AV; Marco Gomes, Sr. Director of Infrastructure Operations, IS&T; Jim Harrington, Facilities Director, SA+P; and Peter Bedrosian, MIT Classroom Strategist, will be in attendance. This is an important opportunity to learn about the project, make your voices heard on the proposed changes, and provide any feedback that you would like to see incorporated into the proposed design. 

The first discussion will be held on Friday, February 24th from 2 to 3pm, and the second discussion on Thursday March 2rd from 3 to 4pm. Karenina Juarez will be sending out outlook invites for both meetings including a zoom link for those who wish to join remotely. The meetings will begin in room 9-217, where we will demonstrate the capabilities of a Zoom classroom. We will then transition into the CRE Lecture Hall where we will discuss the specifics of what we plan to do in that room and gather your feedback on the proposed designs.

If neither of these times work for you, we are happy to meet one on one to discuss your needs. If you would like to meet one-on-one, please let Karenina Juarez know before March 2nd so that we can incorporate all feedback into the final proposal. We are open to suggestions throughout the process, but the types of changes we can make to the design will become more limited in scope as the project progresses. We are seeking to begin construction in early July 2023 and complete renovations before the start of the fall 2023 semester.
